Summer Wrap-Up Series: New York City Trip
We celebrated our 1-year wedding anniversary by taking a trip to New York City. It was short, but our goal was to see as much as possible and eat our way through Manhattan and Brooklyn (other boroughs will be part of the next trip). (more trip pictures found on Flickr…)
We kicked off the trip with a visit to the 102nd floor Empire State Building.
Going to the very, very top costs more, but quiet window view is worth it. Seen below is our shadow (we’re at the very top point).
Our hotel was a hop, skip, and a jump from Times Square.
I started getting “fair face” (akin to the State Fair) rather quickly, so we hopped a train out of there.
On of my favorite meals was from this noodle shop. It was simple and delicious, perfect for the rainy afternoon.
We also stopped by the MOMA.
…and visited some friends on a rooftop in Brooklyn.
Washington Square Park, where Harry met Sally.
To wrap it up, we visited some more friends at Bar Great Harry. The beer, company, and dog-friendlines were excellent. Renda brought us hummus and pita from across the street (not pictured).
