My little hop rhizome, of the Mt Hood variety, sprouted this week. Right now it lives in a pot on the sunny front porch.
I haven’t found a name for it yet. Suggestions are welcome.
If you’re wondering how to go about growing your own hop vine, I purchased a rhizome from Northern Brewer in St. Paul. More details on its progress are sure to come this summer.
Looks like a ‘Bert’ to me.
